Not everything that twinkle is a star. Do not get distracted. Follow what your heart tells you. In tonight’s run at the Umstead State Park’s Reedy Creek Multi-Use Trail, I literally had to follow my heart and believe the trail I was on will take me back to the parking lot. I’ve been running for over an hour and it just felt like forever. It was so dark and the headlamp only illuminated three feet in front of me. It was 47 degrees brrrr cold by the time I reached to the car. Another night, another run – 6.9 miles in 1 hour 56 minutes.
